Dr. Hasan Shanawani, MD - President
Dr. Hasan Shanawani is a physician executive with more than 20 years of experience in clinical leadership, health insurance, utilization management, and medical policy.
He has held executive leadership roles with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, leading physician teams, developing medical policy, overseeing utilization management, and improving clinical quality. His experience spans hospital medicine, payer strategy, independent medical review, and executive leadership.
At Shanawani Convergence, Dr. Shanawani advises health plans, provider organizations, and healthcare companies as a Fractional Chief Medical Officer, executive advisor, and independent physician reviewer.
Dr. Natalie Delia Shanawani, PhD - Managing Director
Dr. Natalie Delia Shanawani is an organizational sociologist, Associate Professor at the University of Windsor, and Head of the Department of Interdisciplinary and Critical Studies.
For nearly two decades, she has helped organizations navigate complex change through strategic planning, leadership development, organizational assessment, and equity-informed systems design. Her research and consulting focus on improving institutional performance by aligning strategy, culture, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
At Shanawani Convergence, Dr. Shanawani leads organizational strategy, health equity, executive facilitation, and systems transformation.
